Nashville
Sorry to bore you all, but I still have more stuff from my trip I want to post. My friends live in Alabama but I flew in and out of the Nashville airport, which is about 2 hours from their house. The day I left we headed to Nashville to see some sights! It was pretty fun and I think I would even go back when there was more time to explore. It was pretty kid friendly too.
As you can tell it was extremely windy!

First we stopped at the Nashville temple just for some photos. We didn't last long because it was freezing! It is pretty amazing how small those "small temples" actually are. It was practically dwarfed by the stake center that was right next it. It is actually located in Franklin, Tennessee which is about 20 miles outside of Nashville. It was the most beautiful place. It was so quaint and peaceful surrounded by acres of green farmland and beautiful homes. I can definitely see why they picked this spot for a temple. It was so serene. This is pretty much what surrounded the temple on all sides. It wasn't in the original plan to stop there, but I'm really glad we did.
Next we made a quick stop at the Parthenon. No, you didn't read me wrong I said the Parthenon. There is a life size replica of the Parthenon in Nashville. Complete with duplicates of some of the art in the real one. It was built in 1897 for Tennessee's centennial celebration or something like that. Look it up it's pretty interesting.

It is in this huge park that looks really fun on a day that isn't so rainy and cold as when we were there.

Rand thought the Parthenon was pretty awesome too... to lean over and watch the floor as we walked through it that is! What a silly kid:)

Last we went and checked out the Grand Ole' Opry.

If I ever go back I would love to plan it so I could actually see someone in concert here.

There is a fun little museum all about old country singers. It was free so we decided to walk through it.
