Goodbyes - May

Sadly, we no longer have our ducks and chicks:( They were growing up nicely until they became victims of nature!

Ainsley woke us up at 5 AM one morning to tell us she could see "one dead chicken out the play room window." Sure enough Frodo had been attacked by some other animal. There was no sign of the other three. Nick searched the neighborhood and he found Hazel and shooed her back home. She could actually fly and she came home and flew up on the roof and wouldn't come down for a long time.

We never did find Blackie or Sunny. A couple of days later Hazel was gone again and we never found her. We're pretty sure she flew away.



We also said goodbye to a favorite teacher. Channing took a Parks & Rec. class with Miss Jamie. She was a perfect fit for him and his personality. He will miss seeing her every week.


Channing also said goodbye to preschool since he is moving on to Kindergarten. Here are the kids with his preschool teacher Miss Lynn.


Last but not least, Rand said goodbye to Randi. She was his speech therapist and has been coming to our house to work with him all year. He LOVED her and he made a lot of progress this year. In the fall he transitions to preschool for his speech therapy.
