I Almost Forgot...

I know you're all dying to hear the story behind the puppy. On saturday we decided to surprise the kids and take them to get some baby ducks for Easter. Growing up Nick's parents would get him and his brothers a duckling or baby chick for Easter so we decided to give it a try. We drove to a feed store where a lady is supposed to come every weekend and sell Easter chicks and ducklings. It had been raining and freezing cold all day so she didn't end up coming. However, there were two black lab pups for sale. The guy selling them saw the kids looking at them from the car window and brought one over. We told him we weren't willing to pay very much and he told us to make an offer. Nick said "well I have $40 in my pocket how about that". He agreed and we went home with a new puppy instead of 3 ducks. Either way I think we must be crazy!
