Madera Canyon
Ainsley has expressed a lot of interest in hiking lately. We live a short drive away from a well know hiking spot down here. One Saturday we left Rand with a babysitter and headed out for some fun (sad for him I know).

Ainsley insisted on being in the lead the entire time. She was so excited about being there.

The kids were a little sad that they didn't see any lizards or animals, although we did HEAR a woodpecker. They were still thrilled by every rock, tree, and plant they encountered.

Many treasures were collected... such as triangle shaped rocks and pine cones.

Channing kept his treasure in his hood. He needed both hands free to hike safely:)

There were even things along the trail to keep the big people intrigued:)

I am pretty sure Ainsley and Channing were the most excited that we brought a "picnic lunch". The whole way they kept asking when were going to stop and eat, and they decided this would be a nice spot for lunch.

Channing was getting tired at the end and lagging behind everyone, but he didn't complain. He just kept up his own pace.

The weather was a little chilly, but that's better than too hot right? It started raining as we were driving home. It was a great day and we definitely plan on going back soon.

What a nice day and hike! Oh, and I like how you strategically hide your little belly bump in each photo of yourself...
I know you don't even look pregnant! I tried to click on the picture with you in it to get a better look but it wouldn't let me. Hikes are fun- your kids are funny on the things they find. I like the place Channing put his object to have his hands free. Smart kid!
yay for the outdoors huh!!!
james wanted to know how nick's march madness brackets turned out if he did one. of course nick was right in saying that memphis wasn't going to win it all. lol
That looks like so much fun! How neat that your kids are old enough to do things like that!!
Looks great! In fact, I', trying to find something fun for us to do as a family the weekend of James' birhtday. Are you guyd up for it again? (April 25th)
