Lesson Learned
A couple of times a week we go to the park by our house and Ainsley and Channing play on the playground or ride their bikes while I walk around the jogging path that surrounds it. The other day we were there and I noticed that every time I walked by her Ainsley stood up, put her hands behind her back, said "hi mom", and watched me until I passed. Then she sat back down and began intently doing... whatever it was she didn't want me to see. I figured it couldn't be that big of a deal. I mean what was there to get into trouble with dirt, rocks, grass? I should have known better. When we went to the car to leave I found this.

She had found a marker and was giving herself a manicure. Lovely! A big thanks goes out to the person who left a black sharpie on the playground. A congratulations goes out to Ainsley for finding the one thing she shouldn't play with on the playground. Finally, a round of applause for the mother who was dumb enough NOT to investigate when she knew her kid was trying to hide something.

Before I read the description of the picture, I paused and admired the wonderful job she had done on her nails. I thought it was blue nail polish. I think she did a fabulous job not getting the marker anywhere on her fingers, just the nails. Maybe I'll let her do mine next time I'm in need.
I thought it was blue marker too! Nice job Ainsley!

Hey, she stayed within the lines and she appears to have some ambidexterity! At least Channing came away scot free this time!
Gotta love a girly girl! And a sneaky one too! :)
But it looks really good. I am sure you were glad that she was busy and not hurting herself or others.
This is so an Ainsley. I love it!
