Preschool Field Trip

This week Ainsley's preschool took a field trip to the Reid Park Zoo. Here the kids got up close to the panther! Channing kept calling it a dog... actually he called every animal we saw a "doggy".

YES, it's what it looks like. She is eating the fruit loops that were strung on the Christmas tree as decorations! I guess I need to feed my kids a bigger breakfast before we go on outings. Come on people, edible Christmas decorations at the eye level of a two year old, what are you thinking?

Oh and by the way we are finally wearing coats down here. As soon as Thanksgiving was over it got so cold. It has been windy and freezing. It's kind of nice to be able to cozy up wth blankets and sweaters. It gets so hot in the summer it's hard to believe it will ever get cold again, and it's so cold right now it's hard to believe a couple of months ago it was 100 plus degerees.

Channing helping push the wagon. He took this job very seriously.

There is a little train that drives around the outside of the zoo through the surrounding park. Here is Ainsley enjoying her ride on the train.
