Happy Halloween

We started the day off by taking Ainsley to preschool, where there was a halloween party.

There was a pinata and watching the little two year olds try to break it open was pretty funny.

I think they each had about five turns to hit it with a big stick and they never did make a dent in it.

From there we went to the college and had lunch with Nick. Then it was home for a nap.

When Nick got home from school we decorated the pumpkins we bought at the pumpkin patch the other day.

Then the kids got all dressed up and we took them trick-or-treating around the block. Ainsley was pretty funny. She thought that she was supposed to go inside the houses. So the person would open the door, give her some candy and then she would just walk right in. This happened at probably the first four houses until she got the hang of it.

She had to stop and admire the deer our neighbors have in their front yard.

This lady tried to get her to do a cheer for her, but she wouldn't say a word.
She also got really upset because some people turned on a smoke machine in front of their door right when she got there. She freaked out and ran away from the house crying.

Channing rode in the wagon and quietly worked on eating a sucker.

We came home checked out the candy and then put the kids to bed.

It was a long, but fun, day.
