Tour de PC - Day 1

The weekend of September 16-18 the first annual Tour de Porter/Caffal (or Tour de PC) was held. It included a bunch of people from Nick's family and a few Caffals - a family he grew up with. They rode 60+ miles two days in a row in northern AZ! There was lots of fun and adventure and some good stories that came out of the ride. I think they are going to hold it every year now.
Getting ready to head out. They started from Chino Valley near Prescott.
On the first leg of the journey...
Support Vehicles driven by Donita & Peggy
They started out riding through some scary construction!
Don
Nick & Nate who would later become known as Barf & Biff
Nate was nicknamed "Barf" because everyone had to stop to watch him throw up a few miles before this was taken.
Micah & Trevor
Tyler
Candice
Water break
The beginning of the first big climb - Mingus Mountain
Made it to the top!
They made it down the other side of the mountain through Jerome and into Sedona. Micah and Tyler were the first to pull in and tell Donita all about their adventures.
Trevor and Cody arrived and we all start wondering what was taking Nick & Nate so long.
Cody
Finally they pull up and Nick tells us all about his big crash! That is how he became biff:)
It looked a lot worse in real life. They had a couple more miles to go, but decided to call it good for day 1. We cleaned Nick up, and after Candice and Don arrived the guys treated themselves to a big meal at a nice restaurant. Then we headed to the Caffal family's cabin to get some rest.
