Channing's Black Eye - May

Channing had his first car accident... sort of! We were running late for church and all the kid were acting crazy. We pulled out of our driveway and started thorough our neighborhood. I asked everyone if they were buckled and they all said yes. The kids just kept acting up until I was fed up. I finally slammed on the brakes so I could turn around and warn them for the final time (not my proudest parenting moment). Apparently Channing was NOT really buckled in. He flew forward and hit his face on the console between the two front seats. His face started swelling up immediately. We went back home got him and ice pack and then continued on to church. By the time we pulled in the parking lot he was in so much pain we had to turn around and go back. He took some tylenol, got a fresh ice pack and took a long nap. He felt a lot better after that but he had a nasty black eye to show for it for a week or so. I felt so bad and I think we all learned a good lesson. It was a good lessons but kind of a horrible way to learn it!
